Looking for a rod to pair with my new daiwa zillion. looking for a rod to use for spinnerbaits, squarebills and on occassion a topwater. ive been looking at the following but havent found to many reviews.

1: shimano crucial crankbait 7ft M

2: Daiwa DX-Bass Crankbait 7ft MH

3: Okuma EVX Crankbait 7ft MH

4: Denali Lithium 7ft M crank or the 6'10 MH spinnerbait

5: *** *** Black Crankbait Gen 2

Right now im leaning towards the Daiwa but i cant find too many reviews, seeing if anyone has any input or experience with some of these.

Shimano Crucials are excellent rods. I have a 6' 8" M/XF and a 6' 10" MH/F. Good sensitivity, light, comfortable. Can't complain about them at all. That being said, you may want to look into a fast action rather than a more moderate cranking rod since you said you'll be throwin spinnerbaits.

Dobyns Fury MH 7' Mfast Cranking rod or Irod Stone Cold 7'2" MH mod fast Gen 2 should work in the $125-$150 price range.

Yes I'm very curious right now with them but like you said there is zero info on them. I was kinda looking for a versatile rod but would mainly use it for square bills, finesse swimbaits, 3/8oz spinnerbaits small size swim jogs. Might take a flier and try it out. Hoping to get some more info

JChez and billman I sent you both PM's. Found an article review on a 7'6" cranking DX. Might help you guys out. It isn't easily found on google. For anyone else who is curious about it you can look look at Tackle Tour, in their Archive Review section. Find the rod section and look up Daiwa. They have a review on the DX Cranking Rod there.

These rods got a great review on TT and in a mod fast might fit the best for multiple applications. The x-12 would be the blank and power i was looking at.

I have the 764rm and i use it for all the same things your talking about.  I like graphite vise glass.

Here is a few suggestions. If you stick with square bills, small to mid sized cranks, minnow baits, traps etc as well as a spinnerbait the Falcon Bucoo micro series Trasp Caster is a good choice.

A Dobyns Fury FR 734C is probably the one to look at in the Dobyns lineup.
