$150-200 depending on the paint job. It's a time consuming process if you send it to someone who does it right.

Would that be a baked on sealed job? Or someone hobbyist painting them in a garage?

Just curious I personally wouldn't drop that coin on a paint job unless it had real 24k gold metal flake in it and a lot of it. But wondered how that was done.

That is the going rate for a professional reel painting. Theres countless examples of the work some of them do over on TT.

It's automotive grade paint. Same epoxy/base/clear used to paint a car. Depending on what brand paint you use makes a difference in price. PPG and house of colors are some of the best. Then you figure in if you're using metallics, flakes, pearls, or chameleon. Those all add to the price. Then you have all the prep work and masking it off. They have a few hours in it.

cool I am a car junkie as my avatar indicates I know about HOK and PPG etc. that was why i asked if it was baked on or? But done right I can easily see $200 in one.

Id probably cheap out and hydro dip one as i know mine aren't sitting on a shelf and would end up scratched.

I want to know who does a good reel painting job, but affordable. Who has the best prices for painting a reel?

Unless you're having a high end reel painted don't even bother, good jobs cost good money.

Expensive.  I've wondered before about the cost and who paints reels.  I picked up a TD-Z 105H that I wouldn't mind getting painted as cosmetically it is the worst looking reel I own.  Mechanically it is a 12.  Also a Chronarch 101A that was mint condition until I didn't take the time to put a reel cover on before we trailered to another lake.  Would get that one painted a nice pink since that is my daughter's favorite color, and trade it for the stock one she uses now.
