HardcoreBassin Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Hey all, Can anyone give me any insight on the Perkiomen creek in the Sellersville area? I'm hoping to get out tomorrow and the next few weeks to try some fly fishing. I know I've fished just below the 5 points bridge in Sellersville before and caught a few small trout. It was a long time ago so I forget what kind they were now. I want to say brook, but I'm not sure. Was the creek actually stocked in the fall? Are there any holdover trout in the water, or does it get cleared out pretty quickly? Any suggestions on holes/runs to fish? Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!! -Dale Quote
Megastink Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 This came from there... good bass fishing to be had in Lenape Park. This time of year? It's gonna be tough, if it's even open. There are some monster carp below the spillway. 1 Quote

Megastink Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 There's some decent smallmouth in there too. They stock it with trout in the spring. It's a fun place to fish. Quote
HardcoreBassin Posted December 23, 2016 Author Posted December 23, 2016 The stocking site says they stocked in October too. Do you know if that actually happened? Quote
Megastink Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 No idea. But if they did, I'd toss a #4 Rapala X Rap in Hot Mustard Muddler. 1 Quote
Dogmatic Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Little late to this post., but I've had success fishing from the Iron bridge to covered bridge stretch. Couple holes that hold fish, but here are the current schedules. Fishing is usually prohibited, but I use this as a good mark to head the Big D, where the Tohickon comes in, fish just love stockers. http://fbweb.pa.gov/stocking/TroutStockingDetails_GIS.aspx Quote
Cargojon Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Anybody been to Lenape so far this year? Looking for local areas to take my son this summer. Quote

I spend my time in the Poconos, but I think I'll be fishing Peace Valley and Nock this summer. There are plenty of places to fish around here, they just require a bit of travel. Quote

He and I usually fish the Pine Barrens in NJ when we're at our permanent camp on weekends, but since school is out I figured I'd take him local; plus he's getting better at this thing and I figure he's ready for something better than catfish and pickerel. I have a couple places in mind here that I think would be fine (Green Lane, a couple of local parks w/river access, etc) but just trying to get the best scouting feedback I can before walking in half blind Quote
