Super User Montanaro Posted December 23, 2016 Super User Posted December 23, 2016 There are no rules in bass fishing! Bass can become more active as the day wears on... ...or perhaps youve changed up your plan or presentation and location. Fishing 38 degree surface temps a couple weeks ago i started catching em at 10am.....after i switched to a jig from a tube and targeted bluff walls. Quote
Turtle135 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 When I am largemouth bass fishing in water in the high 30's or very low 40's it seems my "window" to get bit is usually from 10:00 A.M. till about 2:00 P.M. Quote
Luna2406 Posted December 23, 2016 Author Posted December 23, 2016 After going the last two mornings I've come to a few conclusions: -the bass in my lakes have migrated to Mexico for winter -morning fishing doesn't work for me in the winter -I've lost my touch lol Quote
Catch 22 Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 I fish a small lake for crappies when the WT is cold around 38=40. The first two hrs or so of day break can make or break the trip. Once the sun hits the water, its time to fish lmb. C22 2 Quote
