Favorite lures that you own

Hi everyone, 

Ive already started to go stir crazy this year and we've only had ice for a week...... i thought it would be cool to see some pictures of some beat up lures that guys have a ton of confidence in... What are those few lures in your box that time and time again get bit even though they look like crap, ill start with my two favorites

 

the Yellow magic magnum has seen well over 50 fish, and has a 7.5lb bass to its credit

 

the pats perch has seen less than that, but i love looking at the teeth marks on the top and she's got a 6.7 to her credit

Very nice! I think I remember seeing a beat up RES that @Bluebasser86 posted on here before that would fit in well on this thread. Honestly I don't have any lures that are THAT torn up. I fish with plastics most of the time!

This ones been posted up a few times already - Started out as a Gold Sexy Shad.

It's supposed to be a "silent" model but the internal weight is a little loose so instead of being totally silent - it clicks a little.  Don't think the color play that much of a role any more but this one gets hammered.

 

 

This 6th Sense X75 Flat Square bill has seen better days as well.

Yours  clicks a little . My silent RES is a true one knocker . Its loud and works best on the drop .

I use to dabble in lure making . This was my best running bait and caught a lot of fish on it . I didnt clear coat it so it got chewed up rather fast .

I got a couple of Redeyes and Baby 1 minuses that look like that. And they still catch fish.

my sexy dawg has been beat up a little just because of me walking it so hard but it has also been hit a lot and viciously too

I have a few Bandit 100s that made a significant amount of time on the river without getting lost and also catching a lot of fish. Seems like they all catch a lot of fish, but only a few seem to have the ability to dodge the river gods. Catching more than 10 fish on a river crank before it is lost is very uncommon where I fish.

 

Also have a RES that pulled in 58 fish, 6 species, including 2 decent muskies on a week trip in Northern WI.

hese are 2 of my favorite Lures (Overall) and I put a new one next to each favorite...Both are Bomber Long A15 Floaters, one was Bengal Tiger which now has lost all paint but it still works better than all the rest I own, and the other is a chart/blue which lost it's paint but I like it better since it has more flash.

 

I fish Floating Jerkbaits all year in all spots. The Bomber Long A get's more use than all the others I own and baits that cost 4x the amount do not work better, only floater that rivals the long a imo is the Rapala which is a different type of Jerkbait. I also have a bunch of floating Rogues for stained water since they are loud & they are all beat up as well. 

 

I like buying new lures, but I always tie on the one's that are beat up since I have confidence in them, I let friends borrow brand new lures but they can't touch any of my mangled baits. Maybe I am crazy but I have had a new one tied on to the few without color, or barely any paint, and usually the 2 baits in the picture will produce much better than the entire box of shiny ones.

These two poppers are 2 of my favorites..Heddon Spit N Image has some big fish on it, the Rebel is my other go to. The Heddon is such a good lure that rarely gets fished anymore. The bigger saltwater version is good for heavy line since it comes with tx3 rotating trebles that are 3x strong for heavy braid over grass. Casts well also.

I use alot of wakes obviously in Florida, Slammer should be good right? Probably good for Stripers up North as well I would assume.

 

Just curious as to how you fish these baits. I notice all reviews are good for these lures I mentioned but the slammer I may buy since I doubt fish in FLorida see it much. Thanks

Those red eye shads after they start to loose some paint turn deadly. Ive had outstanding luck on a few old ones.

I'mnot a big fan of the Spro rat, but the Slammer is outstanding. I don't know what the difference is, other than it just flat out catches fish. It looks like a big injured bait fish limping along the surface and they just can't stand it. There's a golden shiner color that I bet would be great in Florida.
