Super User flyfisher Posted December 21, 2016 Super User Posted December 21, 2016 I caught three last weekend in 42 degree water. One on a jig, one on a jerk bait and one on a crank bait. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted December 21, 2016 Super User Posted December 21, 2016 Can't help with NoVA fishing, unfortunately. But welcome aboard! Quote
quanjig Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Jerkbait, drop shot, a-rig and jerkbait, shakey, jerkbait, fitness jig, jerkbait Quote
poonman Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 What jerkbaits do you guys use and how do you fish em. I have no expierience them. Thanks guys Quote
Super User Angry John Posted December 21, 2016 Super User Posted December 21, 2016 I like the rc stx but the megabits guys have a lot of heartache over that bait. They work and are a lot cheaper. Quote
quanjig Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 The search function is your friend! There are some very fine jerkbait aficionados here, plenty of them have opened up and given quite a bit of insight on everything you need to know!! Quote
Red Bear Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 go with a jerkbait in silver color. also if shallow water, go with a shallow diving crank bait like a manns 1-minus, also in silver color. silver just seems to work for me in cold water better than other colors. anyways, those are the things i caught fish on in NoVa during the winter. plastics wouldnt even buy me a bite no matter how i fished them, i cant say they wont for you though...
