Having a girl

So I was having a drink at a bar... shooting some pool.. and someone I know was giving me a hard time about having a baby girl. He said, "you know you're a b!tch because you had a girl"... he was joking .. I think.. he doesn't even have a child and I'm pretty sure everyone under the roof could have beat him up 1 on 1 . 

 

But I didn't really know what to say to him.. besides, "then so is your grandpa. "

Ha-ha. He just looked at me puzzled.

I know some B.A dudes with daughters lol. It's just how it goes.. when I found out my girlfriend was expecting, of course I wanted a boy... who doesn't ? But now that she's here... I dont wish she was a boy at all... she's been callin me daddy for over 2 months now. And it's the best thing in my life by far..

Well.....I got 2 girls.  And without trying to sound like a bad ass, I'm 6'1" and about 290.  Some fat, yes, but not all.  I have a 60" chest and a fairly surly disposition.  I cannot remember the last time another man challenged me in anger and when I've been introduced to young men that were interested in my girls, all I ever saw was the draining away of color from their faces and usually a *gulp* in their throats.  I never really found the need to actually tell any young man of the kind of damage I could do him.....he could see it my body and eyes.  Your friend is a moron.

 

I should also note that I am of Italian descent and all my kids friends have always made the assumption that I am in the Mafia.  I live in Northern Missouri, for God's sake, but I never discouraged those rumors.  My daughters, of course, loved it because they didn't really ever need to be afraid of any kid.  lol

I had my boys first and then adopted my one daughter which is a long story but then my girl friend and I found out we were having a baby and turned out to be a girl.

 

while my boys have a special place because they are my boys man my daughter really has me wrapped around her finger being the daddies girl she is. nothing beats the big hug I get from her when I walk in the door from work or being out fishing and hunting. She's also a little mini me also

He wasn't a random.. someone I know.. and I wasn't too worried about it.. ya know how guys act ? Talk B's and dont mean it..  kind of like how women compliment each other and don't mean it.. I thought it was interesting though and the reason I shared was to say that I don't wish my daughter was a boy at all.

My "baby girl" turned 18 last October.

 

Dude has no idea what the #$%^ he's talking about.  Not worth bruising knuckles on his skull, or twisting an ankle helping him hit the high notes.

I have a daughter she turned 23 last Friday. I wouldn't trade her for anything. God knew exactly what I needed. 

 

Considering Jaderose story I had one similar. I too am failry large as Jaderose put it some fat but Im 6ft2" 250lb full beard and keep my head shaved. I am a grave digger by trade. Well I drive a solid white 1 ton cargo van like the one in the scary movies.  When my daughter was oh 7 or 8 roughly I would pick her up from school. I noticed one day all the kids backing away as I come near the curb. More so than any normal person would. I mean it was obvious 50ft space was created upon my arrival. Eventually my daughter came to get in and I asked her what was up with the kids. She said one day the kids asked her why I looked so mean. I had heard this all my adult life from people who didn't know me. Apparently my German heritage makes me look scary to some. Anyway my daughter proceeded to tell them that I buried dead people. She said the van scares them as some think I have bodies in it.  

 

From that day forward I was the guy none of the kids wanted anything to do with. When she got old enough to date I came home one day to find one young man that did not know me had went into her bedroom. I just looked in the room, nothing was up but he ran, and he found the door on his own. To this day I've never seen that kid again. Geez 16yr olds.  

 

She played fast pitch softball since she was little and all the girls as they grew up still feared my van. The ones that played for me and were friends with my daughter loved me and my family, but still feared my van.  A lot of good times we had with it spooking the kids.

My boy is 5, and baby girl just 5 weeks. I'm glad to have both. No idea what the point was of what your buddy was saying. He was hopefully just tanked saying stupid stuff.

My "baby girl" is 27 and now we have two granddaughters, 2 1/2 and 10 months old. I love my son and his wife VERY much, but the girls are "special".
