Ah I've seen these around, mostly at walmarts, for a few years. I've had success on the baby brush hog imitation, never seen or tried any others

Curious which ones you tried .. I didn't buy any of them... I have enough soft plastics .. for now. Lol

I had curly tailed worms, finesse worms, and craws. They're worth the asking price, I use them for dumb pond fish, but they're not the same as the baits they look like.

I believe it's more of confidence thing than anything to do with specific effectiveness - with any lure or plastic you tie on. If you are of limited means and you have confidence with "the same thing" plastics, then then by all means go for it.

 

My personal opinion is that GY baits have been consistently more productive (for me) than the many other brands I've tried over the years. Consequently, I have more confidence when using them and tend to focus more intensely when I'm presenting them.  :)
