Super User *Hootie Posted December 15, 2016 Super User Posted December 15, 2016 Thought I would try my hand at whittling, carving with just a pocket knife. A little rough, but it's a start. Hootie 12 Quote

Jtrout Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Looks good! How long did it take to make it? 1 Quote
Super User Scott F Posted December 15, 2016 Super User Posted December 15, 2016 You could turn carving little fish into another career. Key fobs, Christmas ornaments, decorative pieces or even into fishing lures. I'd buy em. 1 Quote

Probably would have turned out even better if I had taken a little more time. Hootie 6 minutes ago, Scott F said: You could turn carving little fish into another career. Super User Scott F Posted December 15, 2016 Super User Posted December 15, 2016 Seriously, folk art is very popular and very collectable. Hand carved pieces that relate to someone's hobby can sell very well especially if they are well done. For your first attempt, that is very good! 1 Quote

If you could paint those and make them in all different types of fish, you could have a good market. You could take them to art shows to start and wait till your name gets out there. Good Luck! 1 Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted December 16, 2016 Super User Posted December 16, 2016 Looks good....my first thought when you showed that I was picturing a front porch with a rocking chair and a glass of ice tea. Enjoy. 1 Quote
