BassObsessed Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Some of the smaller ponds here are probably going to freeze up in the next few days so I stopped at one of my spots to throw some cranks. Water temp was 40-42. Caught a 5lber on a Manns and lost one about 4 at the bank. 7 Quote
wdp Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Nice catch. Which Mann's crankbait? I love the baby 1-, but don't seem to have as much success with it when it gets cold. And I live in the South which is prob a bit warmer than your neck of the woods. Quote
BassObsessed Posted December 15, 2016 Author Posted December 15, 2016 Thanks fellas. It was the Manns Minus 1 in Fire Tiger. Iv'e had good results with it in colder water with one of my biggest home state bass coming off one a few January's ago. 1 Quote

Luna2406 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 with water being that cold, what speed are you bringing it back at? I haven't had much success with cranks once the water is that cold. now that I think about it, I haven't had much success with cranks at all this year lol Quote

Keep at it and try some Mann's Minus 1's in shallow water. 1 Quote
