William Rossi Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Yum 5 arm Flash mob willow. Would like to fish 15-25' in 45* water. Fish are on or near bottom. I usually like one weight heavier to keep it from spinning. Does four 1/8 and one 1/4 sound about right? What brand heads do you like. All the 1/8 and 1/4 I have are small light wire hooks that will bend too easy ty Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted December 15, 2016 Super User Posted December 15, 2016 I make my own and use mostly 1/8 ball with 4/0 Gammy hooks. Quote
riverbasser Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I use 1/4 for the bottom 2 and 1/8 for the other 3. Can't rrmeber right now what brand I'm using Quote
rangerjockey Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I use 1/8 oz on all 5 arms . We can only use 3 hooks in Missouri so I cut the hooks off the top 2. I've found that balances the rig better than using hitch hikers. I always use a hook light enough to bend if the thing get hung up. 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 15, 2016 Super User Posted December 15, 2016 No weight on the outside arms. I'm using LFT Live Magic Shad on a 3/0 EWG Offset Worm Hook. The inside arm is rigged with a Johnson Silver Minnow. This has been working for smallmouth, largemouth and stripers. 1 Quote
