I like a 7'-7'4" MH/mod-fast rod usually.

I just picked up an Orochi XX Diablo Spec-R which I heard is great for chatterbaits

I'm partial to using a pool cue myself

In all seriousness I use a 7'2" MHF for mine and like it

I love glass and heavy fluorocarbon for bladed jigs.

I use the same typical 6-8 M/XF stick I use for spinnerbaits.

First what is your budget? There are several different camps on what specs are best for those baits. There was a long thread on this recently. Before you look at new gear, what gear do you have?  Have you tried to throw them on any of your gear and did you like the feel and distance you got while trying you rods?

Dobyns just came out with a 735 and 736 glass chatterbait rods. Designed specifically for chatterbaits.

I've lost too many big fish when using a faster action rod and they hit the bait hard.

Daiwa just released a new rod, the DX Type-H Glass.  It's supposed to be based off of the Evergreen rod that Brett Hite uses for bladed jigs.  It's a 7'3" glass composite rod rated at 1/2-11/2oz and costs $149.99.

Daiwa and Evergreen have partnered on some distribution stuff and B. Hite is sponsored by both companies.  If you're interested in trying glass for these techniques, this is a rod to look at.

I use a Daiwa Tatula 7' 2" MH/R rod for chatterbaits, swimjigs and spinnerbaits...

I prefer a MH moderate for single hook moving baits. Rod length is mostly a preference, I use 6' 6'' for 1/2 and under, but for my 3/4 and 1 ounce chatters i use a 7' 6'' MH mod.

The action to let the fish load me up, the power to drive the hook home.

Ive been using a BPS CRANKIN STIK, this year. And it has worked out really well.

I don't think there's really a wrong rod for chatterbaits (well obviously not a light setup, duh). Seems most people toss them on 7' MH's or M's.. and OF COURSE now the rod industry see's a window to make a few more bucks by coming out with longer glass "chatterbait rods" which just look to me like a rebranded deep cranking rod. A rod you already have is likely just fine. Try a 7-7'2 MH, if that's too stiff try your favorite crankin rod, if that's too bendy try a 7' M fast. Do what works for you. It's such a simple bait i don't think it requires too much thought put into the gear.  Just look at the replys in this thread, everyone does something a little different.

Can't wait to see an entire series of chatterbait rods from one of the companies soon.

I have a 7' mh fast and a 6'6" mod fast casting rods and a 6'10" medium fast spinning

My budget is around 100 dollars

Honestly all those rods would be perfectly capable of throwing a chatterbait.  I'd probably start with the 7 MH then try the 6'10 spinning.

Look into an iRod gen 2 723c. I own 2 and they are great rods for chatter baits, and swim jigs.

Any 7' MH/F rod should work. Don't over complicate things. If you feel like your pulling the bait away to fast step down to a 7' M/F. I've used both with no issues.
