jr231 Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 When I was a young boy... I was really into WWF . I looked up to all of them.. the undertaker , HHH , stone cold, the rock.. I was in love with wrestling.. had the figures and toy belts..watched the show religiously. Well one Christmas my uncle made a picture of me with stone cold.. he photo shopped us together . And gave it to me as a gift.. then he proceeded to convince me that i met him and that we took the picture at a local restaurant in Lexington KY. I went several years thinking I met my idol.. lol. My uncle sent me the picture the other day just to remind me. Funny to me now, but I thought it was very cruel when I found out. 4 Quote
riverbasser Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 Sounds like an something a cousin of mine would do. Funny story BTW I was also a fan of stone cold back in the day 1 Quote

jr231 Posted December 12, 2016 Author Posted December 12, 2016 I met Mick foley awhile back (aka mankind, dude love, cactus jack) at a airport in Florida. He's a big dude. My brother was like aye bro, didnt we used to have action figures of that guy? I was like where ?? Sure enough.. Mr foley , looking me right in the eyes. Asked us how we were ,he gave a nod and kept movin. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted December 12, 2016 Super User Posted December 12, 2016 Ok..I patted Andre the giant on the back after a match at Boston garden, probably 1978 or so. What a sweaty mess, but I loved it. 3 Quote

But I'm pretty familiar with him. Wasn't he supposedly undefeated until hulk Hogan did that body slam on him. Yes I know it's all staged. Lol. Quote

Super User Senko lover Posted December 12, 2016 Super User Posted December 12, 2016 I'm a huge fan of present-day Rock, even though he's no longer in the wrestling game. I watch WWE sometimes but it's way too fake for my liking. I'm sure it was better back in y'alls days haha. If you look up, "The Rock Reacts to first WWE Match," that's a pretty cool vid. Can't post it here though due to language. 1 Quote
Super User Gundog Posted December 12, 2016 Super User Posted December 12, 2016 What about Haystacks Calhoun? My grandparents on my dad's side use to watch me cause both my parents worked. My granddad use to watch pro wrasslin' every saturday night. He was a big fan of Bruno Sammartino but I was amazed with Haystacks. 2 Quote

I don't know if I could stand to watch wrestling anymore for more than a few minutes but as a kid it was like the MMA or ultimate fighter is today. 1 Quote

He was pretty high on Bruno Sammartino. It was the only event of it's kind I've ever been to and was a little crazy. The Crowd was Nutz ! ** EDIT ** I stand corrected - this is the card I was at. Red Bear Posted December 12, 2016 Posted December 12, 2016 I currently am subscribed to WWE Network. Lots of old video and stuff on there, all the old PPVs, also WCW and ECW video catalogs, new shows, and all of the new PPVs every month, which is like every two weeks now since RAW and Smackdown are separate shows. $9.99 a month isnt bad for all of that, especially since it includes the PPVs. so much better than paying like $50 a month to order it on cable, which i dont have cable, i have directv which no longer carries the PPVs since WWE Network started. Hooked my computer up to my tv like a dual monitor and can watch the PPVs on the big screen 1 Quote
