Joey B. Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 What do I do in the offseason? Sit here and twiddle my thumbs and desperately wish that when I wake up tomorrow it'll be Spring... 1 Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I've decided to leave my big fishing tackle box in the shed till March. Usually I get it out January 1st and get my rods all ready to go for April but I've slowly but surely learned - having rods and reels ready does not make winter shorter or bring spring quicker. So I'll just leave it all in the shed till mid March. Although, I'm still buying so many new fishing lures I already bought a new smaller tackle box just to store all my new stuff in! There is no hope for this addiction! lol. I have picked up a new hobby though that is almost as expensive as fishing - building computers. I built my first PC at the end of December and I'm posting this from my new home built computer now. It was really easy to do plus the led lights inside make the motherboard look alive. lol. Now I'm addicted to Pentium processors, Asus motherboards and super quick Samsung SDD's. Plastic worms and Pentium processors, my passions! 1 Quote
Snipe Hunter Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I don't get much done around the house during fishing and baseball season. So I go into overdrive in the off season. I just moved a laundry room from the basement to the second floor and finished remodeling two bathrooms. I'm about 90% done gutting the master bath and bedroom. I hope to get it done by the end of march. I generally work on the house in the winter. 2 Quote
ThePolkFolk Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I live in Florida so there isn't much off season, but I have been fixing up a new (to me) jon boat as well as practicing backing in the trailer while the ramps are slower. The first time was the only time I truly had major trouble, but I did forget the plug once! I do enjoy shooting though and have picked up clay shooting this winter. 1 Quote
