I like and use the Keitechs quite a bit too, but my favorite is the Jackall Rhythm Wave. They have just as good of an action as Keitechs but are more durable. Doesn't hurt that they are less expensive too.

IMO the only advantage the fat swing impacts have over them is a larger color selection.

I fish keitech swing impacts and swing impact fats almost exclusively

Occasionally I will use zoom swimmin' flukes and swimmin' fluke jrs when I want more movement and vibration, which is either when I use them for stripers, or as a trailer.

I also use the keitech fat swing impacts and they work well but I have also used the Berkley grass pig and the zoom swimin fluke. I do prefer the keitechs though.

Sounds like there is experience with different brands. So what are the differences? Why and when do you use each or do you stick with one.

Keitech.

For the money, I've been pretty impressed with the Zoom Swimmin' Flukes.  Good on a swim jig.

Alan - it's just a matter of personal preference. All of the baits mentioned catch fish. You can rig them all to fish shallow or deep, grass or wood, weedless or open hook. The Keitechs and Swim Senkos are great baits at the cost of durability ($). You can use Mend-It or some kind of gel super glue to use them for a couple of more fish. Some of the baits don't work well at slow speeds - others do. And don't forget swimming a 4 in curly tail grub - I've had my rear kicked too many times by that bait when the bite was tough.

1) Jackall Rhythm Wave

2) Reins fat Rockvibe shad

3) X Zone Swammer

And then there is the Jdm stuff. These have been my most productive paddle tails in order and I fish them a LOT

I really like Keitech's, but they are pretty expensive. I recently tried Jackall Rhythm Waves, and they are almost the same bait, and half the price.

I figured it was mostly personal preference but wasn't sure.

I personally have been using the Zoom Swimmin Fluke with great success.

Well, the Keitech Swing Impact Fat  has been a great bait for me for several years, but once you fish the Rage Tail Swimmer you will probably fish it exclusively.

I really like the Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper  and this fall I tried the Eco Pro Tungsten Swing Shads. I've been really impressed with those as well. They look like a Keitech, but it's more durable without sacrificing action. I definitely see that becoming a staple in my box as well.

I've tried & had success with quite a few different swimbats. For hollow-bodied, I really like the Luck E Strike Bass Magic swimbaits. Caught some really big ones on those. I've also used the SK Shadalicious. They're good as well. I use the hollow bodied in more open water, sparse grass situations.

For soft, solid bodied I've used The Big Bites cane thumper, Zoom swimming fluke, Keitech Swing Impact, and RI Skinny Dipper. The cane thumper & swimming fluke seem to work best fishing around grass - they come thru it a little better. But I've caught bass on all the ones I've mentioned.

I always use my swimbaits with an Owner or Gamakatzu weighted   spring-locked hook, anywhere from 1/8 oz to 1/4 oz. I mostly fish pretty shallow waters.

Dang those look sweet. I'll have to give them a try. I have to admit I have a swimbait problem, lol. I got tons of em.

I like any version of the skinny dipper, Keitech style as well, but I really like the Swim Senko, Gambler Swimbaits, and a zoom swimming fluke...I also like the Creme Swimbait called the screamer as well.

I have tried the Yum Swimming Dinger, Slider bass grubs, and cane sticks but I still have the most confidence in a swim senko as I seem to catch fish on them no matter how I rig them or fish them...Also they are great for trailers if they get torn up..Something about the density & shape make it such a great bait, especially when you want to fish slowly & let them sink....So many good models really depends on how you fish them & time of year..The Small Sassy Shads in 3" on a ball head jig are money for when you just need strikes as well.

For trailers I use keitechs and the zoom swimming fluke but just a swimbait on a jig head I use big joshy swimbaits in all their sizes. It's a smaller company here in Ohio that is real popular. They have great action in all water temps and at all speeds.
