Super User senile1 Posted May 10, 2006 Super User Posted May 10, 2006 If you only have $300 dollars I'd take a look at the following depth finders. I believe these prices include the transducer but you can confirm this online. Garmin 250c: Runs $340 - 350 Best resolution in this price range - 320x320 pixels 4.5 inch color screen Eagle Fish Easy 320c: $220 - $250 3.5 inch color screen 320x240 pixel resolution Lowrance x67c: $250 - 290 Similar features to the Eagle Fish Easy Quote
RLinNH Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Don't forget Raytheon. I have one that, in which I spent less then $250, and I have been using for over 7 years. I see no reason for an upgrade anytime in the near future. Great product!!! Quote

I've been looking in this price range and narrowed it down to the 3 finders mentioned in my quote above. The resolution on the Garmin is what has caught my eye. Quote
Cajun1977 Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 i cant speak on the others they may be the same im not sure but like you said the resolution is great its very easy to operate and understand fish are very easy to spot on the bottom also the only thing is if the sun beats down on it aftertime it will start to fade mine hasnt ive seen some that have what i did was stick a viser hat on it to keep the glare off that way its protected i can see it without glare Quote
