I'm looking for a drop shot reel to match up with my 6'10" ML "IKE" series finesse rod from ABU Garicia. I wanted to know your guys suggestions on what reel to match it up with for under $100. Spin reel of course for drop shot

Daiwa Fuego hands down super fast retrieve and buttery smooth too.  Not to heavy either.

Daiwa does make some really nice spinning reels. The Pfleuger President is popular in that price range too.

I have an Okuma RTX 25 on my DS rod. It's light, very fast, and very smooth. Easy to find online for around $75 too.

The Shimano Sahara is an amazing reel for the money! i have two now, they are amazing for the money!

Pflueger reels make up most of my spinning gear, but for my drop shot rod I use an Okuma RTX30.  Depending upon your personal preference, a 25 or 30 is a good choice.  It actually has the same line per inch retrieve as my Daiwa Tatula Type R 8-1 baitcasting reel/ It is also very lightweight.

Would you recommend the 25 or 30 and what is the difference

Well the RTX 30 is the same weight as the 25 ( sorry I have only held the 30 ) as the 30 and has the exact same gear ratio so that tells me that the difference is in the spool capacity. The 30 holds 25 yards more 6 pound or 25 yards of 8 pound mono. I have never sen the 25s but I had a friend that owned the 30s. I liked it so I  ordered the 30 for myself.  Physically the 30s is about the size of a 6925 President. I am very happy with the 30 myself.  I think the reels are probably identical with the difference being one having a deeper spool. I know what i did with it was to fill the spool half way up with 14 pound test Stren and the rest up with P Line Halo in 8 pound test. It seems to work nice for drop shots, unweighted sencos and light texas rigs. If you try the Halo you will find it is a typical fluoro- very strong ands lots of memory. The solution is to get some boiling or almost boiling water, get your reel ready, Drop the Halo in the water for a few minutes. Spool your reel. Use some good line conditioner as you spool. Let sit overnight. Go fish it!

Lots of great name-brand reels in that price range.

My best advice for you is to go into your local shop
be it a Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc., and take your rod
with you -- ask if you can try out various reels on the
rod. Best thing you can do, IMO.

This way you'll get to feel every one and know which
one YOU like best. Honestly, it really matters. I went
in to a BPS with full intentions to buy a Pflueger Pres
reel. I left with a Shimano Stradic.

Not because the Pflueger isn't a great reel, it clearly
is to a great many fisherfolk. But the Shimano felt that
much better in MY hands. We're all different. Find YOU
whether it is Daiwa, Shimano, Pflueger, Okuma, Quantum,
etc.

Edit: Yes, the President is considerably less than the Stradic.
I was at a point where the comparisons that night led me
from all the Pfluegers and Shimano reels to the Stradic...

This is the same for me. Everything is Pflueger except 1 C14 Stradic on my shakyhead rod, and my RTX25 on my dropshot rod. The fact that the reel is lightweight and fast are why I opted for it.

The stradic may be a little pricey but it is exceptionally smooth. It's been great for me and they also came out with a new version. Very Lightweight
