Braid, no stretch if you're fishing weightless then you must not want it to sink fast which the fluoro would increase rof.

Braid to fluoro leader. I like to see the braid on top of the water and watch for any twitches, and the no stretch hookset. Plus with a really slow falling presentation I feel like line visibility can come into play if the fish are being picky, I'm usually not too worried about that but it's one of the times I make sure to. I have 15lb braid on my spinning rod and then usually an 8 or 12 lb leader depending on the cover and thickness of the plastic (thick plastic --> more force to expose hook --> heavier line so I don't have to worry). Open water with something like a weightless trick worm I go 8. Weightless Stick-O's around cover get 12.

Agree with @MassYak85. I use yellow Power Pro and
a leader of fluorocarbon or copoly. The yellow makes
it super easy to see twitches on the line. With fluoro
as the leader, it provides some nice feel transfer to
the braid - at least it does in my experience.

Uni to uni or palomars to a swivel?

Others may disagree but I hate the uni to uni. I've had knot failure issues with it, I don't believe it ranks very high in leader knot strength tests either if I recall correctly. I use longer leaders so I don't want a swivel bouncing through my guides. I have recently grown to like the alberto as my favorite leader knot. FG is good too but is hard to tie. Try a some different knots out though. Ultimately the best connection knot is going to be the one you feel most comfortable tying.

Braid. The floating line acts as a strike indicator. When a fish picks up the bait, the line laying on the surface will twitch, even on a slack line. It's how I detect strikes most of the time.

Uni to Uni for leader and Palomar or clinch for terminal end.

Don't use a swivel, but will use a snap (no swivel) if using a
crank or such, which is not often for me.

FWIW, I have no problems with strength of the Unit-to-Uni,
it is simple to tie and when tied carefully, tightened with plenty
of saliva, it will hold. The other knot that is easy to tie is the
Modified Albright/Alberto knot. Look it up online if you are
interested. FG is very difficult to tie, and simply isn't worth the
effort to use if out on the water. The thinner the braid and
leader, the harder (at least in my opinion) to tie. Simply isn't
worth my time to tie since the Uni-to-Uni and Albright variants
work so well.

I was just looking at that alberto knot. That's pretty slick.I wouldn't use anything other than a Palomar for terminal.

I used the FG exclusively for like a year, and like Darren said, it grew to be too much of a pain to tie, especially on the water, that I decided to try other stuff. The Alberto is still very thin and has great strength and relatively easy to tie.

To be fair to the Uni to Uni I do still use it time to time if I need to quickly tie a leader on. My issues have come mainly from using it with t-rigs. I've broken off fish on some pretty hard hooksets. The leader knot broke before the lure connection which I didn't like.

Have you tried a Uni knot?  Very simple, super reliable, and you don't have to put lures with trebles through a big loop.  Palomar is for Drop Shot.

Spinning gear is 10 lb Braid with various FC....usually 6 lb in open areas

FG for leader connection when I have time, uni to uni on the boat.

Uni or improved clinched at the hook.

Seen to many tie the Palomar wrong and loose fish.  For me it is also hard not to overlap the line in that knot....bad eyes
