Well my old swim jog rod finally broke on me, And so did my lews MB, So i picked up a lews laser MG for 60 bucks on sale, And i just want a cheap swim jig rod untell i can get a replacement, No more then 60 bucks at the least, I have looked at many around that price range, And Berkly lightning rods look fine, I just thought id see some other opinions here on the forums, So any suggestions would help, Thank you!.

I'd recommend the Berkley Lightning shock rods, I've been seriously impressed with mine. Absolutely 0 complaints and I've had it for like 2 years now. It's performed just like some of my more expensive ones.

Plus 1 on the Shock. I like to throw my swim jigs on braid & they are perfect for that.

Best "value" rod on the market IMO. I've had one for many years (and the older lighting rods before that) and still keep it in my regular lineup.

Another vote for Lightning Rod Shocks. I do all my "feel" stuff on custom made rods, but I keep a bunch of LR Shocks around for frogging, swim jigs, chatterbaits, etc...................other than being a little on the heavy side, they are fantastic "cheap" rods for moving baits.

I like the H2O rods from Academy. I have several and they've been very good rods. I just picked my last one up on sale for $27 and it would make a good swim jig rod.

If you are opting for cheap go to cabelas and look at their fish eagle 50 rods if they are on sale they can be as cheap as 35$. They make lots of different actions and lengths.
