I found this little gem a while back about 8' up in an old dock piling. I used my frog rod with 50# braid to snag it. I asked my buddy who fishes there if it was his and he said no. So it's mine. It's 6th Sense brand, bluegill pattern. It has awesome hooks and they're bigger than any other lipless crank I have. I caught one on it this past weekend.

Haven't updated with a picture for a minute, so here's about the last month or so worth of finds.

That's a Strike King Hybrid Hunter in the bottom right corner, right? I noticed you posted a picture a while back of a catch with one of those in the blue craw color. Do you have much luck with that? I found one in that same color and I like it and have thrown it a lot, but haven't had any luck with it yet.

That one is the BPS version of that bait. I like the HH, it's been a productive bait for me.

So yesterday while fishing little platte I snagged some braid.  I start hand lining it in and there is what I believe is a cotton Cordell lipless crank.  What makes this even better besides the cheap snap swivel and multicolored 30 lbs braid attached to it.  I was litterally fishing 1.5-2ft of water when I snagged it.  Crystal clear water and a sand bottom.  I’m sure who ever was fishing this was just bombimg it out there and giving it $&@@. Not know what he was doing. It was attached to a pad.  So I do t know if he just said screw it cut off 60 ft of braid or what

ill probably put some new hooks on it and put with the rest of lipless cranks that I never use

Found my second Whopper Plopper this year, it was barely stuck on the top of a boulder sticking out of the water. Looks brand new!

I never knew until I read it on this site that it's possible to find a lure in the wild with the hook protectors still on it, but ever since then I have hunted very hard to find one, and now I finally have!  One more item I can check off my bucket list.

Next I'm looking to find a lure with the line tied to the wrong end...

My eyes instantly went to that popper on the top right and it made me think of Mike Tyson.  ...then to the clownfish.   Guess I'm weird that way. All cool finds though!

I found info on the Mike Tyson lure, and turns out it's a Booyah Prank in
Chartreuse Bone.  The lure's still in production but the facial tatoo was a limited run which is out of production now.

The swim bait below it, which is very high quality, is a Headbanger Spitfire.

I have one of those that was given to me as a gift but I have never fished with it. I think I'll try it next trip.

After hauling in about 40 ft of monofilament, I was rewarded with this nearly new rattle bait (Trap) in a nice bluegill pattern from the pond today  Someone even took the time to change out the hooks to some fancy wide gap trebles - lol

They actually come with those now I believe. I found a small, chartreuse gill colored one with wide gap hooks recently.

Found two Whopper Ploppers in the same day. That brings my collection up to 15 in working condition, and my third Loon-colored WP.

Also found an Ozark Trail (Walmart) version, which looks pretty good, but I put it on and tried it and it swam more like a wake-bait. They even copied the logo in the eye, to a degree. That’s just insulting.

And I found a Sexy Dawg the same week I replaced a lost Dawg Jr. It’s a Hard Knock, and that sucker is loud. You can hear it across the lake. I would be really surprised if something bit it. I think they would bite it out of anger more than anything. I would gladly trade all these lures for the Dawg Jr I lost.

All found today, the top 3 were on a brush pile that got washed there a couple months ago due to rain. Whopper Plopper, Googan Squad Revolver and a 6th Sense Crush. The bottom is a Bagley Top Gun #5 and is discontinued, it was easily plucked from a tree. The Whopper Plopper is the 4th Ive found this year.

Just an FYI: I fished it on two occasions. It creates a lot of commotion and appears to be a quality product. I have not had a fish it yet but I have no doubt it will get some fish's attention.

I like that color combination in a spinnerbait - green, yellow, w/ gold blades. I've had good luck with that.

91F and muggy today, so hardly anyone was out and I had easy access to the bank fishing spots in my kayak.  I found several memorable ones.

1) This guy was able to pull hard enough to break a bass hook!  ...but not hard enough to free up the rig completely.  The monofilament feels heavier than the stuff we use salmon fishing on Lake Michigan.

IMG_1885.jpg.6b5f6fe60807e7a8955686ee38114cbf.jpgIMG_1887.jpg.70c8cdae759f30d58a0a14d3ac57398a.jpg

2) This Rapala was hanging by its line with a significant stick dangling from its treble hook.  Once I got it down I saw that the hook had been pulled right through the stick.  I've seen living branches that have grown around a stuck hook before, but never a hook that pierced a branch.  (also, I had to get past a wasp nest to get it, and thankfully the lure slid right down without shaking the tree.)

The entire lure was totally blackened, and it didn't want to come off. Not even off the bill. I grabbed a bottle of my wife's Spray Nine, hit it with a shot, waited a few minutes, and the black wiped right off.

After reading this tip I bought a bottle of Spray Nine, and today I used it for the second time.  It does make it much easier to clean stains off found lures (actually, the lure below looks better than it does in the picture).

The storm smash shad freed up from wherever it was hiding and floated into view as I was pulling down a shadow rap I found in a tree.  It was better than bogo because it was buy-none-get two

This thread is hilarious and awesome.

I bet half of these people didn't even bother doubling back and at least trying to reel down the stuck bait, and obviously they don't lure knockers

Is it every appropriate to use sinkers with a buzzbait?  The guy fishing near me when I pulled this one out of a tree today didn't think so.  We laughed pretty good.1734926576_Buzzbaitwithsinkers.JPG.783222134b0e6b1df4fe5427cd22a714.JPG

That's too bad because that's a really cool color!! No idea what trailers are orange and blue to match the skirt, and I cruise tackle warehouse just to look at the colors of soft baits because I find it satisfying like people that enjoy looking at art. Anyways, I don't think I've ever run across a blue, white, and orange swim bait type lure but I think it would look really cool. Fish probably couldn't care. It's appealing to me and that's why we buy crazy colors, right??? Haha.

It might be appropriate when you're using like a Zebco spincaster with 25# line and you can't cast to the opposite bank of the lake where the big fish are ?

That looks like a rubber skirt. Is that right for a buzzbait? Definitely some crazy colors.

Whomever lost that lure's got to have forearms like popeye. I can't imagine how hard one would have to work to keep a buzzbait (with extra weight) on top with a cheap spincaster.
