CarpCasey Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 It's kind of hard to see but I lost a lure to this fish then caught the fish again and got my lure back. 3 Quote

fin Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 First decent lure I've found in a while. Check out the way it's rigged, and the way the braid is tied. There's like 3 knots there...? 4 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 2, 2019 Global Moderator Posted August 2, 2019 Got a Bone 110 Plopper out of a tree 2 weeks ago, second plopper I've found in a month and either the 8th or 9th one I've found this year. Also got a PopR and LiveTarget Bait Ball squarebill out of trees last week. 2 Quote
Timberwolf530 Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 I was fishing in a tournament earlier this year and caught a Perch colored Rapala Fat Rap FR5 on a Ned Rig. It was in perfect condition, so I knew it couldn't have been down there that long. Turns out it was a guy in my fishing club who lost it earlier that same day. 3 Quote
schplurg Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 Saw some spawning Bluegill one day and decided to play with them. Tried 3 baits with no luck. Then I remembered I'd found a tiny jighead caterpillar looking thing a few weeks earlier. Tied it on and pulled in 8 gills and a bass with it. Was actually my first sight-fishing for anything and all the gills I caught went right back to their beds upon release. Pretty cool. 1 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted August 6, 2019 Super User Posted August 6, 2019 The count so far is four crankbaits, two spinnerbaits, and a buzzbait that I had to use the telescopic lure retriever to get down. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 21, 2019 Global Moderator Posted November 21, 2019 Getting to be the time of year when the banks are cleaner and the trees are bare, good lure finding conditions. This morning was pretty decent. 7 Quote

Super User DogBone_384 Posted November 22, 2019 Super User Posted November 22, 2019 I found a black jitterbug, a Spro swimbait in rainbow trout (a pond without rainbow), at Ponkapog, and two crankbaits at Blue Hills Reservoir. I also pulled a white spinner off a tree branch on Cape Cod, though I don't remember which pond. On two occasions I found lures I lost on earlier trips. One was a perch blade bait I reeled up when I snagged a branch at Hedges. I lost that bait the previous fall/winter. The second was a bluegill flavored Rapala Skitter Walk I lost when a pickerel bit through my line at Ponkapog. I found that one just off the launch in 3' of water. I'm much better at losing baits than I am at finding them..... Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted December 28, 2019 Super User Posted December 28, 2019 This years additions. Not pictured: One 20lb mushroom anchor, about 30 bobbers, and 2 stringers. 3 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 18, 2020 Global Moderator Posted January 18, 2020 Walked a bank Thursday. Had a feeling it would be good being one of the only reservoirs that wasn't closed with the high water this year. 2 Quote
Quarry Man Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 caught several rods, found many lures. best catch was an 800$ gloomis/stradic ci4 combo 2 Quote

OCdockskipper Posted May 10, 2020 Posted May 10, 2020 The only thing better than finding a lure is finding one that you know you will use a lot. I found this swimbait and a Zara Spook jr. while out fishing yesterday. I probably won't use the swimbait, but the Spook is in perfect condition and looks brand new. It is the right size and color for my lake, so it is going to get a workout. Note that whoever lost the swimbait apparently believes we have toothy critters swimming in our Southern California reservoirs. Quote
