This is something I do at beginning of each year. I go back and read as many of the articles in the Beginner section as I can. It's amazing how much of the basics I forget each year. It always helps me out for the year to come.

So my challenge is for you to read some of them and come back here and tell me what you learned for the first time or what you were reminded of. Have fun.

You don't need 500 dollar rods and reels to catch fish and have fun!

I was thinking back on this season and asked myself what I would do over or what mistakes I thought I made. Also what I thought that I was satisfied doing. I am more that happy the way things went this season.

I wish I would have suspended jerk bait fished more. Have gotten some nice smallies this way over the years.

Was more than satisfied with some of the topwater fishing I had done. This was after a couple of seasons in a row that I had not topwater fished too well. Why? I don't know, actually broke my confidence in it to a big degree.

I catch myself going back to basics. I have to to get my mind right sometimes.

I learned that "Bass Fishing" has changed quite a bit since I started.

I also learned that I may have forgotten almost as much as I've learned along the way.

You can texas rig a senko and constantly reel it and catch fish, that is how I started bass fishing, with no clue what I was doing.
