I got a boat...What to do?

Hello,

I recently got a little 10ft boat.  I was wondering if you guys have any pics of what you did with yours.  I am a young angler who just wanted a cheap boat so I could catch fish.   I am going to get a fish finder on my boat and put my trolling motor on it so I can fish small electric only lakes around here.  I was wondering if I could do anything with my boat ... so I could make it like a project boat.  Anyone ever tried to add a small front fishing deck?   This is what my boat looks like.

Maybe make some little boxes in there to hold your towels, or anything else you need that's small.

Keep in mind that those lil plastic botes are fine when they are in good shape, but the sun will tear them up and if left out unprotected they will get brittle and/or soft after a couple years. That one looks in good shape. Get yourself a cheap tarp and some bungee cords to protect it when you're not using it.

After you've been out a few times, you will start envisioning the modifications you wish to make. Make it comfortable and functional for you.

Thanks for the help guys! I forgot abour rod holders ... I will besure to add them.  I might make me some small boxes out of wood and put them on the sides of  the boat.  If I keep it in the garage do I need to put a tarp over it still?

I'd want some Fish Hedz for when you are slinging rattle traps that close to someone else! :-?

Anything you put on the boat adds up to it's weight limit be careful you don't exceed the boats weight limit.

I had a boat like that, I made some minor modifications using 2x4's I set up rod holders and a mount for a Fishin Buddy depthfinder, but my boat was only about 8' and I only had me in it.
