Preytorien Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I'm seeing the retail emergence of the Strike King Popping Perch - it's becoming available at many retailers. I just don't see what makes it any different than the popping soft bodied frogs I already have (Spro, Booyah, etc) Am I missing something? I looks like a normal topwater popping frog, just with a bit more fish-ness added to the finish. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 16, 2016 Super User Posted November 16, 2016 I don't know....but SK rarely leaves any product segment stone unturned. 3 Quote
d-camarena Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 If its anything like the livetarget sunfish i rather throw my money in the garbage than to have it taking up space in my tackle box Quote
Robert Riley Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Lol. that's just a sexy shad hollow-body frog. We don't have that at F&S yet, but I, unfortunately, could see myself selling that to people. Quote
bigturtle Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 You know how people likes to cut the legs a bit to make it harder for the fish to grab just the legs and not the hooks? Haha, popping perch ? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 17, 2016 Global Moderator Posted November 17, 2016 The tail is actually very long, way longer than I like. I think it will be way better than the Live Target and will probably get a couple because I like popping frogs and they have somedifferent colors. I don't expect it to be any different than any other popping frog though. Quote

If we are talking garbage lures we can mention the river 2 sea clackin crayfish. Ha-ha. I think SK may be the most overall solid company there is. They have quality products from jigs, soft plastics and cranks, to spinnerbaits and topwaters. You could only run strike king products and catch fish every day. But it's nice to have a mix of brands and have the "best" from each. . I don't think the popping perch is something that is gonna change the game and get as much rave as the whopper plopper . 2 Quote

Over the past few years, I'll admit to becoming quite a SK Fan Boy; except for the hooks - but I digress. As for the Strike King KVD Popping Perch, probably will be passing on this one. I don't do much in the way of Popping or Perching . . . A-Jay 1 Quote
