someone more in the know would have to confirm but that looks like a freshwater drum to me

Looks like a type of shiner to me.... probably Golden except I don't see the red fins that typically characterize the fish.

Pretty sure it's freshwater drum.. they hit aggressive and fight strong. You think you got a real good bass and then those lips surface lol.

But they are fun!

My arch nemesis, the freshwater drum. They're fun as long as you know what it is right away. If you're fighting them and they don't have the courtesy to roll so you know it's a drum, they can really get your hopes up.
