Triton_Mike Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I have a 16ft boat and have a 82lb thrust Tour Edition Motor Guide. You really can't go wrong with the new Digital Motor Guides. They are running absolutely flawless! Here is a picture of my boat www.tritonmike.com/boat.html T Mike Quote
SgT Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 why not bow mount?? i think bow mount is so much better than transom..... anything over 40 inch shaft should do... i own motor guide wireless 24 volt 76 lbs thrust, to save space on my deck.... i own 16ft tracker grizzley jon boat... good luck.... Quote
JTL Posted April 7, 2006 Author Posted April 7, 2006 Triton Mike: Why a bow mount TM and 2 transom mount TM? You have really put some work into that boat? Just wondering, what kind of $$$ you going to have in that outfit versus just buying it already fixed up? The reason I'm asking is that I'm thinking of doing a similar thing, buying a jon and fixing it up... Quote
onewyr Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 hey mike great lookin boat I did a build simular to yours but not as intense of a build. just an idea take some aluminium diamond plate and put it on the underside of all of your deck doors. this serves to purposes acctualy 3. 1 adds strength to the floors, 2 covers the bad edges of the carpet and 3 gives a little touch of pimp my boat, you can't go wrong with some chrome just an idea the boat still looks great. how many batteries do u have in that thing and how is it wired and do you run both of the transom mounted motors at the same time. if so do you have linkage to steer both motors at the same time Quote
