steverowbotham Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Had an opportunity to get out yesterday and go check one of my "big fish" zones. It doesnt put up a lot of fish, but when it does, look out. It didnt disappoint. This may be my last day out these season, and if so, what a way to end it. Lots of footage to edit in the coming weeks when the boat goes away. In the words of Dave Mercer... G-G-G-G-GIANT BASS! 26 Quote
Drew03cmc Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 What'd it weigh? How long? Nice fish either way. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted November 9, 2016 Super User Posted November 9, 2016 Dang that is one huge bass. Congrats on that big bruiser. Quote
Hogsticker Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 That looks to be over 9. Maybe even 10. Maybe it's the camera angle? Would be a state record here. Quote

Super User Swamp Girl Posted November 10, 2016 Super User Posted November 10, 2016 Considering it's bigger than the guy's torso and its head is as big as the guy's head, I'm estimating 80 pounds at least. 7 Quote

Might be an over the top estimation but hey if he caught it on a Rapala F13 in orange, then I guess anything is possible. A-Jay 3 Quote

A-Jay Hey, measure the length of the fish. Then measure the length of the catcher's torso. They're the same. It's an 80-pounder at least. Quote

steverowbotham Posted November 13, 2016 Author Posted November 13, 2016 Lol. Let's call it a well chosen camera angle. That said, the fish was over 22 inches and somewhere in the 7.5 to 8 pound range. My biggest of the year for sure 3 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted November 13, 2016 Super User Posted November 13, 2016 As I wrote in another thread, you're a heckuva fisher and you have a good sense of humor too, so winner, winner, fish dinner!* *As long as it's not a big bass, natch. Quote
Will Wetline Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Judging from the photo, I'd say that monster weighs 49 lbs. 17oz. Quote
