Arobb2012 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I'm looking at the giant dog and xpod Jr. Other than the pivoting jaw is the xpod any better of a walking bait than the giant dog? I have a gift card coming to me and I was thinking about grabbing one of each or 2 of the same in different patterns. Quote
Ktho Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Haven't tried the Xpod but the Giant Dog walks really well and really easily Quote
Smelter96 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 From what I can tell, I'd go with the Giant Dog if you're looking for just a walking bait. The Xpod walks nice, but not as good as the Dog. But if your looking for versatility, get the XPod. Walker, popper, and you can swim it quick and get it down half a foot. Quote
bigturtle Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I actually find the PopMax to walk the easiest, noticeably easier than the xpod, slightly better than dog x Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted November 8, 2016 Super User Posted November 8, 2016 Between the 2 lures you mentioned, the dog walks much better. The xpod was kind of a gimmick as far as the jaw goes, but it will walk fairly easily, just not like the dog. Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted November 9, 2016 Super User Posted November 9, 2016 The bigger Xpods are better than the jrs. The jrs do not stay on top of the surface veth well for me no matter the position of the bill. Another vote for the Giant Dog X Quote
Bologna2202 Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Giant dog-x is the best walk the dog bait made. Easy to walk and great colors. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted November 13, 2016 Super User Posted November 13, 2016 Dog x by a large margin for me. I was not much of a fan on the x pods, but the giant dog x is the easiest walking pencil bait and they can't resist that thing when the top water bite is on. 1 Quote
Rodney Smith Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 What is go to color in the Megabass Giant Dog-X? Quote
Super User NHBull Posted June 25, 2017 Super User Posted June 25, 2017 For walking, the pop max is hard to beat, especially if you add an O ring Quote
