CrustyMono Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 looking at the Powell Max 3D 755C for jigs. What do you all think? Quote
Super User fishnkamp Posted November 1, 2016 Super User Posted November 1, 2016 Check out my e-mail I sent you. That is a beefy rod If you were punching heavy vegetation it might be good but for ordinary jigs around docks and more open targets it is overkill. 1 Quote
rangerjockey Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 The only 755 I'm aware of is a crankbait rod. It all depends on what size jigs and the cover you fish. I really like the 723 for 7/i6 and 3/8 oz. .For 1/2 and 5/8 football heads I use the 734.. The 734 has a great tip and I also throw a spinnerbait and buzzbait with it. you could also throw a big topwater like a vixen or repo man on it if you don't mind the length. The 3D is a great rod. Super User fishnkamp Posted November 1, 2016 Super User Posted November 1, 2016 Big Bait Fishing What my eyes failed to catch was a misprint. I was offering to meet him half way between his home and mine. I wanted to let him cast my Powell Powell 683CEF and a couple other rods that might help him. Also we have been discussing some different reels. I have switched to mostly Daiwas tatulas in all of their flavors. He owns a Cabelas Arachnid which is a Tatula/Fuega morph that Daiwa makes specifically for Cabelas .I wanted to let him try out my new Tatula CT. I guess play missing the "L" is sorta confusing! 1 Quote
