I am a kayak fisher and I don't like to paddle extremely long distances to get to a spot on the lake and if so I want to know how long it will take me. Needless to say is there some way for me to place a pin and drag a route to calculate distance? Or even if there is just on that will show how long something from pin to pin. Thanks

I do that with Google earth

Same here. If I'm concerned about paddling distance I just scope out the lake and use their ruler feature to measure it. It's fairly accurate too.

I use the Routes feature on the Navionics phone app.  Been using it for years for both mapping out tournament runs and kayak trips.  You can plug in your speed, and it will determine the arrival times.

Might be helpful to know how quickly you cover water in your yak.  First thing I did when I got my kayak was take it for a mile cruise and timed myself.  Then use Google Maps to plan your route.

The app "Sportstracker" has a paddling feature. It tells distance traveled, average speed, time, max speed, etc. I just want to know how far distances are on a new lake though.
