I just purchased a Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 and the Minn Kota Endura Max. The Max has "clips" that fit right around the terminal when the nut is screwed on tight. The Powerdrive; however, has a small circle which does not connect to the terminal well. I am using  Everstart batteries from Walmart. How do i attach the battery and motor?

Im assuming when you say circles you mean ring terminals. Simply put the correct ring terminal on the correct lead post and lock them down with a stainless steel locking nut Do not use a wing nut. I believe the everstarts come with a locking nut. You can use that. Get them locked down tightly.

I would swap the clips out for ring terminals, too.

Do this:

unscrew the nut that is thread on the pos and negative post.

put the ring terminals on the correct lead.

put the locking nut back on the post with the ring termianls below it.

Tighten the nut down and you're good to go.

Some pictures would help. When you say clips I picture alligator type clips and im picturing ring terminals on the v2 wiring.

Based on what you're describing the ring terminals from the v2 would go on under the nut on the post then the clip would go above but I'm with iabass8, switch the clips to ring terminals if the max isn't something you're taking on and off constantly.

Hello CrustMono. Here is a pic of what i think you have. They supply most of their batteries with dual posts. You should be able to install the ring end terminals onto the threaded posts on the battery. If they are not the right size go to your local auto parts store and purchase some that will fit both your wire coming from the trolling motor and the battery post. You can cut off the old ones and crimp on the new ones.  Another option is this battery terminal adapter. It makes it easy to wire extra things to your battery neatly.
