I'm not sure, you can probably just google it.  I used to DVR it, and like 30 episodes on deck, lol.

The point about sponsors is that unlike other fishing shows, he doesn't drivel on about the erratic action of Strike King lures is what gets them to bite, like so many bass pros we see.

Dahlberg has traveled the world, and caught more species than river boy.  Trust me on that.

One of my favorite lines from the show... "It's been raining non stop for 72 hours, I've lost 40 lbs. from dysentery, not a square inch of my skin isn't bitten by a mosquito, haven't slept, but I'm gonna eat some Jack Links jerky, and go fishing in the morning."  I think they were out fishing for Dorado or something in SA.  There's another episode where he catches gar bigger than the boat they're in.

River monsters is definitely more about the actual fish he is chasing and not the fishing itself. You can appreciate some of the techniques he uses but for the most part they never go in depth on that subject. I like the episodes he does where he is working with scientists like tagging that huge bull shark he caught, or the giant stingray.

The point of the thread was to asked who likes the show ? I don't know why we start talking about someone else .

I guess that was my indirect way of saying "No, I'm not a big fan of River Monsters".

I don't think Hunt For Big Fish has been on tv since Larry lost his son suddenly a year or two ago. You can still get on Youtube and watch it, the guy is an animal. Not taking anything away from Wade's accomplishments, he has some incredible patience (or at least appears to from the shows I've seen), to go weeks on end without catching his target species but keep after them.

I like it when it's actually a mystery what the fish is he's after....but sometimes it's a little obvious and it feels unnecessary to drag it out.

For me most of the fun in fishing is the adventure to catch a big exotic fish. I love to research my target species for months,go fishing for it,and finally catch it.It is much more rewarding to catch a fish this way than just going through the motions like most fishermen do.

Well said. Bass fishing will never be the same once you start catching some of these river monsters, that's for sure!

Neat show. One of my favs. He does some kuhrazy stuff.

The dude has a pair of triple X sized brass cojones.

This post made me smile. I have been fishing big game fish(both freshwater and saltwater) for years and caught some "River Monsters" myself. Both of the shows mentioned earlier are in my top 5 shows to watch online and I rather watch these shows than watch most fishing shows.

You guys seen the gear jeremy wade uses? 20 year old 4 piece rods and some beat up cardiffs. Hes a awesome fisherman.

Yes he's a very good fisherman and River Monsters is one of the few fishing shows I watch. He probably still fishes with those old rods since it brings him lots of good memories.

I am surprised that no one else has mentioned "Chasing Monsters" with Cyril Chaquet. Its a really good show. The host Cyril Chaquet is a really good fisherman, and he actually gets into some of the angling aspects of what he is doing. He'll sometimes try to catch huge fish on hand-lines such as sailfish, goliath grouper and bull sharks. That looks intense!

Chasing Monsters is essentially the same as River Monsters, only with a little more information regarding the angling, and a lot less dramatic undertones that turn some people off to River Monsters.

There is also "Monster Fish" on NatGeo, but the host isn't a fisherman, he is a biologist that sometimes uses rod and reel. A lot less of a "fishing" show, but seeing more huge fish is always entertaining.
