FLY THE W!!!  Hands down, by far - the best baseball game I've ever watched...and I've been a baseball fan for life.  This edged out Bautista's Bat Flip game last year....with that CRAZY sequence in the 7th inning....yeah....this was WAYYYY better!  GO CUBS!!!

FLY THE W!

Hats off to Cleveland....they played a hell of a season...post season...and world series.  It was fun.

Sadly. This series seemed fixed. I seen more errors in this game then in all the other games. And no, I didnt want Cleveland to win. I actually wanted Chicago to win because I got to go see them play the reds this year.

I guess it's just a coincidence they made this series stretch to 7 games. With all that money to be made. Fishy to me I don't care what anyone says.

Finally... World Champs!!!!

What a game. What a series. What a Party it's going to be.

Congratulations Cubs. It was a great series and a memorable game 7. I am happy for you C&G.

The pressure to perform when it is all on the line is what causes mistakes. It happens every year. What also happens is baseball at its finest, with the best teams, and the best players making world class plays. Conspiracy theories are quite popular though...

I was rooting for the Cubs.  Like K_Mac I am a Cardinals fan but after 108 years you have to feel some empathy for Cubs fans. I'm glad they got this out of the way so that I can go back to rooting against them.  :)

Now for the Indians . . . . 1948 is quite a long time to go without a World Series victory.  I hope it comes for them too.

I never thought I'd see it happen! Go Cubs Go!!

Theo Epstien should just get an automatic pass into the hall of fame for taking the Red Sox and Cubs to World Series championships!!

Congratulations to the Cubs on the victory.  I'm so proud of my Indians team for accomplishing everything they did this season when nobody thought they would get out of the ALDS let alone make it to game 7 of the World Series.

I hope we face the Cubs again next year!

sadly, anything that involves a lot of money is potentially fixed..not saying this series was fixed, but it's not impossible.

You should be proud of your team. They lost key players that should have ended their season long before the WS, yet they continued to win. They ran out of gas at the end, but their tenacity in game 7 showed their heart. They played like champions even though they, "ran out of time" as Francona put it. Well done.

That game was one of the better sporting events I've ever witnessed - I know I'm only the age of 30, but wow.  Everything from the build up of the drought of championships for both teams, extra innings in game 7, the schwarbs coming back after surgery - seems like a movie script.

Today the office was not exactly productive, to say the least lol

I will say though - with a healthy Indians pitching staff? If they all come back next year that team will be scary good.  Part of me is glad they're in the AL haha

As a Cardinals I have been raised to, let's say, "less than like" the Cubs. But, I gotta give it up to them, that was one heck of a series. Congratulations Cubs fans.

Now, let's start the next 108 year drought.

GO CARDS!

Not meant to be.

All that much.

I mean, I tried to act like I was happy the Cubs won.

Should I have said "with all do respect"?

Maybe?

Haven't been to Wrigley since the days of Bill Buckner and Dave Kingman. Haven't watched a baseball game since then either as I find it as exiting as watching paint dry. Watched Game 7 and yes, I was bored. This morning, I was in front of the tour bus as they got on the expressway after leaving O'hare on their way to Wrigley at 1/4 to six this morning. Thank God I wasn't behind the convoy. I bought an official Cubs World Series t-shirt at the Cubs museum which is in the building across the street from my office, and stopped off at my dads house on the way home from work. My 77yo father was wearing a Cubs jersey and hat. He has been waiting for most of his 77 years on this earth for this day to come. I don't think I've ever seen him so happy. I handed him the t shirt and his eyes lit up even more. So cheers to dad and the cubs and all the die hard fans

Tomorrow is going to suck. The parade will be starting 1 block north of my office....Have I ever mentioned I hate people. Traffics going to suck. The parade is right at my lunch hour. Traffics going to suck. Have I ever I mentioned I hate people. Traffics going to suck.....
