Thoughts on Major Craft Rods?

In my quest to find a short (6'-6'6") ML casting rod I have found that Major Craft has a bunch of different lines all at around the $109-150 price point.  They are all rated 3/16-1/2oz and are 6'3". I am seeing Basspara, Go Emotion, and Benkei lines all offered in this rating, legnth, and price. 

Does anyone have any experence or knowledge about these rods?

just picked up 2 major craft corzzas on a 50% off sale at Plat.  they came in last Friday and i haven't had them on the water yet.  I got a 6'9" ML 2 piece spinning rod and a 6'7" L BFS 2 piece casting rod.  they both passed the yard test with flying colors!  shakyhead on the ML spinning and was tossing a ned rig on the casting and they both behaved very well.  very nice clean builds on the rods and the cork is very nice.  so far i'm impressed especially with the 50% off deal!!

just went back and checked and they still have the corzza on sale at 50% off and have a 6'5" ML 2 piece casting rod listed....

I don't have any experience with their rods, but in what you
are looking for, the BPS Micro Lite comes in a 6 and 6'6" ML.
I'm seriously considering the 6' version after my experience
using the 5'6" Light travel rod - has more of a ML action, but
the sensitivity was amazing, as well as the action.

Comparatively, the Micro Lite series is very sensitive, not as 
light as the Carbonlites, of which I have several, but they 
balance well. Not quite on the level of my Croix LT Walleye
ML rod  ... Just thought I'd throw this out to you, ignore if
you're already set on Major Craft.

I honestly think that Major Craft makes very good quality rods, although the lengths and actions aren't your typical USDM actions. Their rods are a little softer and actions are mod-fast to fast. I only heard of one series that has XF actions but I never held them. Their ML and L actions are definitely great BFS rods.

Obviously the more you pay, the more quality you get. I held the Corzza's and think that they are pretty good. Nanoace isn't bad for it's price. I only own a MSX and I think that is as good as any other top end rod I own. No help for Benkei, Go Emotion or Basspara though.

Major Craft manufactures EXCELLENT rods, even their "low end" are great, not the typical American Continent lengths, actions and power ratings which may cause a little bit of confusión when it comes to selecting one.

BTW, if you are going to order one I suggest you get it from Plat.jp, not only they have an outstanding service but also very good prices.

Just before adding anything to your cart first contact them and ask if what you want is in stock, Japanese dealers aren´t like US dealers, because Japanese manufacturers aren´t like the rest of the world, they only make rods during the warm season and pretty much cease operations in the fall so what you want may not be in stock anymore and won´t be in months.

Thanks for the input guys.  I am not "settled" on MC but am now really leaning that way.  I want this rod to be sub $150 as I am not sure if my idea is going to pan out like I hope it will.  For domestic rods, only St Croix offers rods that short, but in stiffer actions then I was looking at.   My though is that a low-end JDM rod will be easier to resell if my plan fails or succeeds enough that I want a custom rod made.  

I was somewhat worried about the mod/fast action, as I want to use this rod for plastics in addition to jerkbaits, but we shall see.

I have a "low end" JDM rod, a 2 piece 6" ML GraphiteLeader Bosco which cost me like $120 dollars, it's one of my favorite rods and wouldn't sell it.

I have a few Speedstyles. Pretty amazing looking and built rods. Even though they are 2 piece you would never know it. I would highly recommend them for the price over a good majority of the rods you can buy in the US.

Don Iovino's Major Craft rods are 6'10", 1 spinning and 1 casting rod.

Welp, now that FFO has some 6'6" Fenwicks back in stock I am waffling again.  They only have 44 in-stock so hopefully I can just waffle for a few days and the distraction will go away.
