Lataman Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Heading out to this lake on Saturday. Has anybody fished it lately? I know the water level is way down. Has anyone had any success? Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I doubt 6 people here have heard of Hodges. Try a local forum. Quote
Super User soflabasser Posted October 13, 2016 Super User Posted October 13, 2016 The record largemouth bass for Lake Hodges is 20 pounds 4 ounces, which makes it one of the biggest bass caught in the state of California. Quote

Dixon would have had a world record but it was foul hooked. 25+ lbs. Stocked trout make these fish possible. 1 Quote

The 20 pound,4 ounce bass caught in Lake Hodges did not eat stocked rainbow trout from what I read, which makes it more impressive that it got that big without stocked trout as a main prey. 1 Quote
