Kevin Beachy Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 How many of you own Ars. We just got one recently, and they are a blast to shoot. We got the S&W M&P sport II. Were having trouble with coyotes, and thats the main reason we got it, but those guns are just a blast! Quote

Springfield Armory's M1-A line is still legal. I'll go with a 7.62 x 51 over 5.56 any day. My Socom16 is the loudest gun I've ever shot. 1 Quote

MA's definition of an assault rifle includes a pistol grip, which the M1A doesn't have, so it's legal to buy. I'd guess that it's an anti-gun push because 'non-gun' people only know AK/AR platforms as assault weapons used in mass casualty incidents fed by the news media. MA is a very liberal state and has been anti-gun for as long as I remember. I could go on forever on the subject but won't. Brouse through the MA gun laws if you want, it'll blow your mind. It's the Shellback Banshee. It's not bad for the price but I got to try out a buddy's PIG from SKD and that's probably what I'll be swapping it out for before too long. 1 Quote
I.rar Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Got a chance to burn through some ammo with a coworker yesterday. And my coworker with some steel cased tula. Everyone came to see where the noise was coming from. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted November 1, 2016 Super User Posted November 1, 2016 Did you let him run steel through your pea shooter? That is a big no-no in my book. Hope that was his! Jeff 1 Quote
I.rar Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Lol, this is mine. I have less than 100 rounds of SC rounds through it and have not had a single issue of any kind. All of the AR guys I spoke with before building mine said SC is gtg as long as it's not a steady diet. There is a blog somewhere that shows the savings you get from shooting SC as opposed to brass (if you shoot that much) can buy you a new barrel if yours gets jacked up and still have cash left over. I prefer brass. Have you had a bad experience ? 1 Quote

I shot some through my .40 and it was chugging so much black smoke it looked like a .40 power stroke! 3 Quote
I.rar Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 No doubt it's filthy ammo. I've maybe shot 50 rounds in total through all of my handguns but never had a stuck case. I'm not the type to go through 200+ rounds in a session either so maybe that's why. I'll leave this here. Note they are shooting thousands of rounds of the given ammo during this test. http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/brass-vs-steel-cased-ammo/ 2 Quote
