Super User 00 mod Posted October 6, 2016 Super User Posted October 6, 2016 If I am drifting the current in a river, with the bow pointed into the current, and the trolling motor pointed into the current. is there a way to flip the graph readout around so it correctly shows the way I am drifting? How to fix this situation? Jeff Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted October 6, 2016 Super User Posted October 6, 2016 If you have a Humminbird Side Imaging unit, no. With Lowrance Structure Scan you can reverse the Side Scan since those transducers can be mounted with the cable end forward or rearward. BUT if the bow is pointed forward, what is on the left of the display is on the left side of the boat. Doesn't make sense to display stuff on the right that is actually on the left. Forward is still forward no matter what direction the boat is moving. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted October 6, 2016 Author Super User Posted October 6, 2016 I have Helix 9's SI- So if the trolling motor is pointed forward, and I am going in reverse, the image will be shown how? I want to see what is on the right, on the right and left on the left. But would like for the image to scroll from bottom to top and not top to bottom so I don't confuse myself? Or have I already? Super User Wayne P. Posted October 6, 2016 Super User Posted October 6, 2016 Side Imaging records from the top of the display to the bottom. 2D sonar and Down Imaging record for the right to the left. Sounds like you are over complicating a simple function. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted October 6, 2016 Super User Posted October 6, 2016 One more thing, if you are fishing, it makes no difference what the whole displayed image looks like. ONLY the very first horizontal row of display pixels is real time-- everything below that is history. If you want stationary or near stationary images going in any direction, that is what the 360 will do. This brush pile is behind the boat: Same brush pile in front of the boat: 1 Quote
