I've personally modified them to prevent the blade from slipping, and this mod is easy and it works. See below. I've also added various plastic trailers to bulk them up. Agreed that another good value spinnerbait - for $3 when on sale is the DSG "Banshee." Thank you for posting this video. Quote

They are a great slightly smaller alternative to the ones I normally use and get bites some of the bigger ones wont. I do a couple of mods on mine. I use a black zip tie on the skirt so the band won't break and sharpen the hook a little with a file. Also it's not really a mod but at night I prefer rattles on my spinner baits and a trailer with a little bulk to help the fish find the bait. I always use a beaver or small paddle tail with a glass rattle or two inserted in it for a trailer. I use the midnight special spinnerbait at night in the black/red skirt. Quote

I like black, black/red, and black/blue. These 1 dollar baits do work well when the bigger ones won't sometimes though Quote
YoTone Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 inspired by this thread i decided to try out my single Colorado blade in black from walmart tonight. 3 Quote
hunterPRO1 Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Too many people look at the price tags on some cheaper lures and think quality instantly is crap. I bought a few of those today and I like them, being a budget fisherman i will probably be buying these now with a few strikeking or booyah mixed in. There's a brand at academy called h2O xpress, they have some cranks and swim baits for cheap among a few other things and they're good. 2 Quote
Jaderose Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Cheap but good spinner baits? H&H. If you can't catch fish on those, go home. 1 Quote

The ones I've had the blades did not spin nearly as freely as I'd like. 1 Quote
John Tom Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I have bought so many of these to get my skirt collection going. I threw my first buzzbait and hooked two hawgs and miss 3 hits. I always go get more If I see they have different colors. My favorite color is red and yellow. Glad I found this thread! Quote
