I have been keen on using just about any braid that is readily available and some of those that are not just for S and Gs. I bought some at DSG when they started carrying it this year. So far I have been a huge fan of Daiwa's J-Braid. Been using 10lb chartruese on my spinning reels (with a leader) for finesse stuff on my spinning gear and 40lb green on my jig/worm/swim jig etc rods and have been thoroughly impressed. At first I was worried because colors bled LIKE CRAZY, but found that the line color didnt actually change. I know I've seen a bad review or two on youtube but I REALLY like this line. Anyone else had trouble in the long term?

Seems super smooth to me, as most 8 carrier braids are. Very quiet through guides and no issues with fraying/breakage so far.

Anyone else seen different results, or is this the braid to recommend at this price point?

personally, I use the 15lb on my ML spinning rod and its fine. On my baitcasters, iv tried the 40lb, and find it way too soft, would get wind knots way too often. I prefer harder braids on baitcasters.

I have 65 lb on my flipping stick and punch rod , really like it. if you only use 50 yards at a time with mono backing , that's enough for 3 reels...not bad for $15 !!

I got 20lbs on 3 of my spinning reel, fish with it a few time. The line pretty soft get wind knot a few time on light jig for panfish. Also the line trend to wrap around the tip of fishing rod pretty easily.

I find that tip wraps and "wind knots" are mostly line management problems; mostly avoidable with care.  I like Jbraid.

I bought a spool of this whenever it was released, then I saw a few bad reviews, so I decided to give it to my buddy. He is using it now. He gets a lot of tip wraps/wind knots with it, but other than that, it's been fine so far.

I'm slowly switching all my reels over to it. It's quieter than either version of power pro and 832. I run #30 on casting gear and #10 on spinning. I have some #20 ordered to try out next on a couple reels. For the price of it I think it's tough to beat.

That is true, with light jig no swievel (I do doulbe uni knot fluo to braid) once a while I have to free the line and reel in it tight to prevent wind knot. I do not have this problem with heavier lure like top water neither when drift fish for catfish.
