I Hate Cold Weather

It was a beautiful day today with temperatures in the low 80's.

Nahhhh. It's much easier to keep warm than it is to keep cool. If you did construction like me you'd appreciate the cooler weather alot more . If we are talking extremes ill take the cold every day. But maybe that's just the Michigan in me.

I'm getting to where I would rather fish in the cold than the heat. It just seems like the heat brings the idiots out, and as I get older my tolerance for idiots is dwindling quickly. Plus I seem to catch some of my biggest fish of the year every year when the water is cold. The biggest drawback is because of our cold weather, it really limits me to 2 lakes that I can fish during the winter. So if there is any stupid on the water, it's a concentrated stupid.

I like to go diving often,it's not enjoyable to do that when it's cold.The exotic fish(peacock bass, bullseye snakehead,etc) down here seem to bite best when it's warm,so I rather deal with the warm weather. Besides that,I enjoy fishing in shorts with a T-shirt.

I agree for fishing warmer weather is more pleasant. But I don't spend the majority of my life fishing. I spend it working . And I do not like wotking in the heat at all. I'd rather wear layers and peel them off as I go, than be stuck hot and miserable.

I work indoors so the heat doesn't get to me, would probably think the same as you if I worked in the outdoors. The construction workers down here have a high level of heat tolerance,they often work long hours in hot/humid weather.

Yep zero chance Id stick with construction in Florida. Ha-ha. I'd probably acclimate after awhile but every time I visit Florida (which isn't often) the heat whoops me.

Yes,the heat can be excessive at times. That's one of the main reasons why I like night fishing down here.Its enjoyable to go diving when it's hot and it's a added bonus when I catch lobster for my family to eat...they love eating lobster.

I don't mind the cold, and don't mind the snow but I hate when the snow comes with high winds.  Throw the wind into the mix and things can get way more ugly.  I actually like winter except when it's constant wind/snow and then it just gets on the nerves. 6 months of that can be hard to tolerate.  Normal winters are ok by me.

I don't mind a little heat but I hate high humidity with a passion.  High temps are WAY more tolerable with low humidity.  High temps and high humidity is the most uncomfortable environment I've known.  I will take the extreme cold over that crap any day!  I can dress for cold temps and remain comfortable.

I hear you!  Summer sun and warm temps bring out the recreational riff raff in full force which is why I now try to actually target days with inclement weather in the forecast.  A little rain doesn't bother me and the fishing is often better too.

It's 42 degrees here on the central coast right now.  This is freezing for us.

The one thing I'll miss moving from Ohio to Florida is Fall weather. But I like the heat so if it gets too bad here there's a great big ocean not far from me. Or I could just jump in the pool to cool off.

Being a non boater I don't have to worry about that crowd thank goodness.

My days off this week are not looking good. Might try to get out Friday for a bit if the wind isn't too bad. 

WED 12/7   30° /14° Snow and sleet tapering off Hist. Avg. 43°/25°

THU 12/8   30° /12° Mostly sunny and cold Hist. Avg. 42°/24°

FRI 12/9   35° /21° Sunshine and not as cold

Say what?  Cold weather causes them too.

Embrace the cold.  No mosquitos, deer flies, gnats, no seeums, ticks, flies, ants, etc.

A good time to get chores done around the house.  In the summer, I don't have the ambition for home maintenance.  I'll be thinking about going fishing.  Don't mind mowing the lawn, but stuff that needs doing around the house..................................................not so much.
