I know there's a lot of guys on here that are getting into making their own videos, YouTube, Instagram, or Periscope content. I know I am looking into it.

The rules state you can't do a round of self-promotion since the General Forum would literally be flooded.

Would it be possible to make a forum that guys can just link their videos? I know I would like to see some content from some of the guys, but unless they state they have a channel, and the channel name, I wouldn't know where to go to find our members' videos.

Any possibility of that?

They can post videos anywhere appropriate, as long as they aren't promoting themselves, their channel, or another product other than for a newsworthy review.

You can easily derive their channel from that content.  That, or just ask them directly in a PM.

Otherwise, I do not see this happening.

How about letting us put it in our user profile so it shows when we post. You already allow twitter and facebook.

Ask Glenn, it's his show, but my guess is no. Social media is way to connect with each other. YouTube seems to be all about self promotion.

Usually after I edit and post my vlog, send tweets, stare at Facebook for 6 hours, and take a picture of Starbucks drinks. But I only stay long enough to get action shots for the next vlog before I go back home and listen to bands that only I am aware of.

I'm with you - create a special forum for people to post their videos.  Then again, some people may do reviews with lots of negative reviews and some of those negative reviews might be sponsors here on the forum.  And that might mess up the "happy/all is welcome" bass resource sight.

You can posts a video in ANY forum.  Why would you want to go to the "video" forum to search for a video on how to maintain your reel.  You'd just go to Rod/Reel/Line forum.  We don't have a separate forum where you post pictures.  Why do we need one for videos?  All you have to do is follow simple guidelines, and post a video in the forum that makes most sense - there's 24 of them!

I understand the points being made, and my question isn't necessarily IF I can post a video in a forum and the subsequent want of a "Video Forum." I've seen others post videos, and they're really good. My only question is, will using the ever common "If you like this video, click Subscribe" phrase get me booted and videos removed? It seems like that's obvious self promotion, but almost every video ends in that manner saying something about subscription. Do I just have to make videos that don't ask folks to continue watching my content?

Well, most of the guys that get booted are for a hit-and-run, usually their first and only post. "Regulars" would generally be sent FAQs or the section devoted to posing videos. So, to answer your second question, yes...Just make videos  that DO NOT ask viewers to subscribe. And let's address one other criteria: The video cannot be deemed "promotional" which covers a broad range of content.

I could make a video of me catching,  cooking, and eating a Kentucky spot and washing it down with beer before relaxing with 4 fingers of whiskey and dreaming about the proper way to rig senkos

That's two questions, and the answers are Yes, and Yes.  Do the end credits on NCIS ask you to continue watching?  Stay classy bro :)

i don't get it?

why do so many people want to have videos?

i have clicked on links out of curiousity and there b a 30minute video of just chucking & cranking flats.

i have noticed most seem to be younger ( under 40).

not trying to put say its wrong, just trying to get the point of the non educational videos.
