When it comes to deep divers, I have kept it pretty simple and run the Strike King line since I don't get to use them all that often - 5XD, 6XD and the 8XD. I currently have a couple Norman Little N's for medium divers. I plan on picking up a few more deep and medium divers next year since I now get plenty of chances to use them in my kayak. I might try a 3XD or a Pro Model 4 and 5 for something a little shallower than a 5XD, which is too deep for a lot of places I frequently fish.

For shallow crankbaits, I have had the best success on the River2Sea Ish Monroe Biggie largely in the smaller size but the large ones work too. They have a very natural looking wobble and seem to work well in any scenario - kind of like a KVD except I've caught more fish on it. I have also had good luck on the Megabass S crank both 1.2 and 1.5. Also I haven't got to use this one, I only have one and gave it to my youngest kid but he has great luck on the Booyah Flex 2 which has a fairly aggressive wobble.

Shallow - Been killing it with a Rapala Brat in Haymaker.

Medium - Spro Rk Crawler - Missouri Craw color.

Deep - Tie between a 6XD Shad color and 6th Sense Cloud 9 C15 in Wild Shad.

My  list for some of the lures I like from 1 to over 20 .Keep in mind that I have a lot of productive old baits .

0 to 4 foot .As far as shallow square bills go a vintage Rogers Big Jim that is my favorite crankbait ever . It slays big bass for some reason . I also use the rapala Crankin Rap square bills a lot .

4 to 6 foot . The Rapala Fat Rap is what I use the most .

6 to 8 foot . Rebel deep Wee R.s ,Bomber Model A's , Storm Wiggle Wart ,

8 to 10 foot . Norman Deep little N , Berkely Dredger 10.5

10 to 12 foot . Rapala Crankin Rap CR14 , Berkely Dredger 14.5

12 to  15 foot . Berkely Dredger  17.5

15 to 18 foot . Berkely Dredger  20.5

18 to 22 foot . Berkely Dredger 25,5

23 and over I have never caught any on a diving crank .

Pretty much straight Rapala, except for KVD squarebills and Berkley dredgers.  I've tried many, many others, and while most of them will get bites, I find the Rapala brands to be the most effective and get hung up the least.  I'm not a fan of the Rapala scatter raps or squarebills though.  But pretty much every other crankbait they offer is at the top of my list.  And the Berkley dredgers are my favorites for deep cranking, below 16 feet.

The only crankbaits I carry are custom DT-6’s and Strike Kings  (1.5, 2.5, and 1.5 Deep).  If I need to hit another depth it’ll be a swim jig or something else I can control the depth of.  I couldn’t tell you the last time I fished in water deeper than 15 feet and it’s rare that I even get that deep...

I remember this topic. Dejuavue for a minute.

Alot of my shallow-mid cranks will overlap depths since I dont mind crawling one along the bottom .

O-5 ft - bomber 6A, 7A

0-8 ft - spro rk crawler

4-12 ft - SK 3xd

10-12ft - Berkley dregder 14.5

12-15ft - dredger 17.5

15-19ft - dredger 20.5

Any deeper than that an I'm probably jigging a red eye shad if it's a hard bait.
