I just bought a Shakespeare agility rod and reel 6.2 to 1 gear ratio 7' medium heavy what would that be best for? Top water, jig, spinner, buzzbait, jerkbait,or a crank bait and what kind

The answer is yes, you can do anything with a 7' mh Rod. I used a 7' mh for everything for 2 years, jerkbaits, shaky heads, jigs, topwaters, cranks you name it(heck I caught my first dropshot and Huddleston fish on this same Rod). It may not be the ideal Rod at times but it can get it done with pretty much anything.

Good all around rod . Unless the tip is extremely fast than cranking would be a bit of an issue but I don't think that's the case with your rod I felt them before and I think that will be a problem you can get away with most applications. Let know what happens.
