Javelin_Venom Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 For those of you who have boat covers, where did you get them (if they didn't come with your boat)? I am wanting one that I can leave on while I tow as well as for storage. Would having one made be the best thing to do or do the ones that Bass Pro or other places sell really fit most boats well enough to work. I am skeptical of buying one of these from bass pro because of all the options and not wanting to get one that doesn't work real well. However, I'm sure having one made would be WAY more expensive. Has anyone bought one from Bass Pro or somewhere else? How has it worked for you? I can't really just go to a dealer because I have a Javelin and they aren't made anymore. Any ideas? Quote
Super User Sam Posted March 4, 2006 Super User Posted March 4, 2006 Purchased mine through the Bass Pro Shop catalog. The BPS people were very helpful and the cover fits perfect. I also cover my covered boat with a plastic tarp from Wal-Mart just for extra protection. I trust BPS more than the local dealers as the BPS people will tell you all about the different types of boat covers and they don't have a vested interest in a sale. Quote
Cajun1977 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 i was told if you place a tarp over the boat cover it will cause mildew over time Quote
