i will buy any brand that catch fish, but if two catch the same rate but one last longer I would defenitely go with the one that last long.

Senko is good alway catch fish same as Yum, but they both dont last long. I will try to use senko on wacky rig with shrink tube more to save the bait.

Zoom, I buy this because of color Green weenie which alway catch me fish when other cant, but this thing is so soft and last only 1 fish 2 the most. I alway save this for last.

Lately I bought quite a few of Zman and like it a lot. I catch quite a bit of bass with Zman and the plastic still as good as new, cant beat that. The only thing is hard to hook them properly without ned jig.

Strike King definitely has more options out there than GYCB which makes this a tough choice.  However, there's been quite a few times that I've bought SK hard baits (crankbaits) in particular that were junk right out of the package.  SK plastics are good though, no complaints.

That said, I'd go with GYCB - made here and I don't recall any quality issues other than their plastics tear up faster than anything out there.  BUT, they work, so who cares.  GYCB gets my vote.

Please if you ever have a problem with Strike King product please send it back to us and we will be happy to replace it. We try to stand behind our product.

Strike King has a long history in tournament bass fishing, has changed ownership 3 or 4 times relying on sponsored pro names like Bill Dance, Denny Brauer, Hackney and KVD to carry on the brand name, products being mfr'd off shore.

GYCB is owned and operated by Gary Yamamoto who develops most of his own products for both American and Japanese markets.

I have used GYCB soft plastics far longer then Steve Parks/SK-Rage Tail soft plastics and prefer GYCB if soft plastics are the choice.

SK with KVD hard baits and Hackney jigs adds another dimension that shifts the balance to SK, however I don't use those products simply because I make my jigs and have too many crankbaits already so GYCB gets the vote.

Tom

Not all products are assembled off shore. All soft plastics are made in the US. All hard baits are US components assembled off shore.

I can buy anything strike king makes from other brands and be fine but no other worm works as well as a green pumpkin senko

@Choporoz

If you could ONLY use products from ONE of the companies. Which would you choose.. I thought it was pretty simple. Obviously we don't have to ! I was just wondering which is preferred...out of 1000 some views. Only 64 have voted. And it's dead even.

Sorry I quoted you Nate . Mistake.

My takeaway from this thread is that Strike King has responded with an offer for support.  Says volumes about how they value their customers.

They do, I had some of the early RES where the BBs were stuck, they definitely stepped up and took care of the issue, and they were very easy to deal with.

As much as I love Rage Tails I have to go Senkos all day, every day, all year.

My take is that just slightly over half of who voted.. would rather go without SK than Yamamoto .

Strike king on price and durability. GYCB on dependability to catch fish more often in my experience.

My local Walmart prices:

SK SHIM-E-stick: $2.96

Senkos: $6.36 (down from 7.96 before summer)

J Francho thanks for pointing that out because it is really the most important thing in this thread in my eyes.  We all have favorite baits and there are tons of options available.  To know that Strike King is willing to take the time to post an offer of support to us weekend guys (who admittedly are the ones who allow any company to cash a payroll check) is outstanding to me.
