OK, one of my friends has an aluminum 16' modified v bottom boat, with a 15 HP outboard, says it runs good and everything.  He is checking with his dad but he said he will probably sell it for around $450-$500.  What do you guys think?? BTW, i plan on doing decks, & a trolling motors and such.  Thanks

Wheasle,

I boat my 16' flat bottom jon boat in 97. I paid roughly $400 for the trailer and about $1400 for the boat (its a 1668). I added decks 'n such to mine as well. So IMO, $450-500, good price. I bought a use 15hp Evinrude last year and paid $250 for it. Hope this helps!

I paid $2100 for my 16' vhull, came with built in livewell, lockbox, carpet floors, 4 seats, 2 benches, all aluminum, and 1 36lb minn kota on the back as well as the trailor. this boat was only used about 4 times before i bought it and it's a 1996. it was in emaculate shape when i got it but i've put some wear and tear onit since then. i just recently purchased a bass boat so i haven't been using the jon as much. i did put a 15 hsp yamaha on it though, best money i've ever spent! so all in all your deal sounds like a good steal, does it come with the trailor??!

I'm not sure if it comes with a trailor. Just today, I talked to a few more friends about fishing, he lives down the road, on the river same as me. He has a 16' alum mod v-bottom, with a 25hp outboard, decks, livewell, and troling. He said he would sell that to me for less than the other 16' with a 25hp outboard. .... i guess livin out in the sticks you get the deals? Thanks for all the info guys, I'll show pics when I get a boat ;D
