fishon2 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Besides Falcon, Seeker, St. Croix, Lamiglas and G. Loomis what other rod makers build the majority of their bass rods on their own blanks in the USA.....or am I wrong and even these companies get their blanks elsewhere. I say majority because I know some of the Falcon low end saltwater rods are made in China while all there high end stuff in USA, St. Croix low end is made in their own plant in Mexico....... Quote
MPM IV Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 ALX rods and their blanks are made in the USA. I believe Hammer Rods are as well. Quote
fishon2 Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 Thanks, Does ALX make their own blanks??? Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted September 6, 2016 Super User Posted September 6, 2016 A little poking around on a rod building forum produced the following list. These are blanks, not finished rods, and some of the companies listed also import their lower end blanks. St Croix North Fork Composites Steffen Brothers Sage Scott Winston Orvis Talon Lamiglass Calstar Seeker Mystic Liberty Batson Quote
Hogsticker Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 St Croix, Hammer, ALX (Hydra), Kistler uses proprietary blanks made by NFC - Power Tackle uses some too. I'm not sure Falcon produces their own blanks. Once upon a time they used Shikari blanks. Phenix blanks are manufactured over seas. The only Rainshadow blank produced in the States us the best RX9+ Eternity. Quote

Batson's blanks used to all be made in china (most still are ) but some of the newer ones are made over here . people ought to remember that they produce a lot of blanks for major rod companies , which ones they can't divulge but it's a lot ...
