Each is equally effective in the right conditions and retrieve. It's a loaded question.

Like deakn said, they are both productive lures that perform well in different ways.   I tend to use the SP 100 and SP 100DD  more than I do the Megabass 110.

They're pretty different baits if you're referring to a pointer versus a 110. To me personally, the MB isn'tworth it because of how fragile they are. Lots of similar 110 sized baits that are also effective so I opt to go that route.

Fish the vision 110 on light tackle and light line, especially in clear water. The lure is unique in certain circumstances.

I'm a huge fan of Megabass and my jerkbait rods have 110 variants tied on more often than not...But I own and use plenty of Lucky Crafts as well, along with several other brands/models.  I also agree that the Vision 110 and LC Pointer are pretty different from each other.

All of the guys I know that are big into jerkbaits have some of both in their boxes...How many of each and how often they get used is more of a personal preference thing.  

Regarding the durability of the Vision 110...There was a time period when they were made with weaker bills, you can identify these baits by small bubbles in the lip.  Remember the saying, "Bubble in the lip = only 1 trip."  MB 'fixed' the issue, but the bills are still not indestructible..It's not made to dig in the rocks or bang off docks/stumps/etc. The 110 FX is good for those rougher places though, or you could use a Pointer .

I'll use a 110 year round for smallies. The staysee 90 is the best for deep water though. 

The confidence that the 110 gives me is worth the extra money. I think megabass colors are more appealing too.

My 110 out-fishes my pointers in ultraclear waters with no wind. my pointers out-fish 110 in slightly windy/stained waters.

In my experiences when the going gets tough, the 110 outfishes all other jerkbaits I've ever owned. It has turned many dreadfull days, into amazing days for me. Like others say with light line and good clear water I think it is the best you can tie on, especially a old straight eye 110. 8# Invizix is the line for me

Nope, but none of them has proved to me that they are more effective than a Rapala Original Floating minnow either.

They are two different brands with many types of jerkbaits but overall I use lucky craft more. The 110 and pointer have different actions and one may work better one day and the other the next. I use many brands and types of jerks. Floaters, slow floaters, suspenders,and  sinkers, with tight wobbling, wide wobbling, and rolling and different actions. Some are more erratic and some swim better steadily. It all depends on time of year, target species, and conditions, and also type of water you are fishing. I couldn't pick just one. I use lucky craft more because of cost but there are tons of good baits out there
