So I ordered my new setup and it will arrive in the mail tomorrow, so I had a fishing trip planned for Saturday. Well, after looking over my order again tonight I noticed I ordered the 5'6" rod instead of the 7' rod, now I have to wait until I receive it tomorrow, then wait until Monday because the post office isn't open Saturday and ship the rod back and exchange it for the 7' version. 

 

Just totally screws up my whole weekend

Wow, that's really unfortunate... I'm sorry :wacko:

It's too bad you didn't notice before they shipped so that you could have just cancelled the order!

Hopefully you'll still catch some fish this weekend regardless.

About 8 years ago. Me and a buddy went camping with our families. We brought our fishing stuff and at the time. I only had one "nice" pole . (In reality it was the only spinning setup I had) . 

Long story short it got shut in a car door and broke the rod right at the 2 guide from the top . I was so bummed. Pretty ticked. Didn't even want to go fish. But I did anyway. I ended up catching my first pike a fesity 24" on a mepps #5 spinner . It was the only fish of the day for either of us. 

I'd try the rod out then send it back (;

I've had various  screw ups on the internet. Receive the wrong color plastics , get the wrong size hard bait, ordered  heavier weights than what I wanted . Accidently bought a mega roll of braid ! Ha-ha. Happens. Internet is awesome because it saves me a trip to bps or cabelas. And sometimes they don't have what I want anyway. Nothing like going to the website and ordering the exact color , size , and style that you want ! And then have it show up on your doorstep as you go about your life.

Even worse news, Monday is Labor Day and the post office will be closed......Sorry to rain on your parade! :rain:

Before there was an internet we had to get a catalog and fill out a form to get what we wanted. Once I made a big mistake buy not checking the small box that said "If product is not available put on backorder". If you read the fine print it says that the company may substitute products of the same dollar amount or less if you don't put it on backorder. So instead of getting 2 packs of 7" Berkeley Power worms and a pack of 4" Power Craws what I got was 8 packs (25 per pack) of  2" grubs (no company name on the packaging) that you would use for panfish. My mistake for not marking the backorder box.

Has it ACTUALLY shipped yet?  If not, Amazon at least, will allow you to cancel.

I thought I ordered one bag of plum Pit Bosses during the TW X-mas sale, but I ordered 11.

That's my worst blunder so far. But really, can you have too many Pit Bosses?

Yea it shipped already, got free 2 day shipping, ordered all my stuff from JandH.com, I ordered it all on the 31st and he had it shipped out that night and will be here any minute now.

I remember those days, I use to order CDs and tapes cassette tapes like that.

When I ordered my Curado, I got the 201 instead of the 200. Which means I accidentally ordered the left hand model instead of the right. The good news was I kept it and really liked the left hand version. I found I can switch back and forth with no problem.

I also ordered a bulk pack of 3 inch Senkos. What I got was a bad Senko nock off.

Well my stuff just made it here, reel is perfect got the PENN Spinfisher V 4500 LL and he even threw in a free reel cover for me. Now to ship the rod back and get the 7'.
