I've been doing awesome with the zip baits irony. Awesome jdm walking bait that's called up several fish from deep clear water

What topwater bait were you using? I always had luck with a torpedo.

Is the tiny too big? Seems pretty massive when I look up pictures online

I use the baby torpedo. I think the tiny torpedo is just under 2" and I'm looking for a lure that is heavier and makes more splash on the top of the water when its being worked.

Ok thanks, is the baby more of a big fish bait or do you catch smaller fish on it?

The baby will work just fine for both big and small fish. The tiny torpedo will too but it can't be casted as far on the spinning gear I have. Also it tends not to show up well if there are just small waves on the water. So the baby is my choice.
